These Animals Got Game - Farm.

Last week as our FHD (Family Home Daying...just made that up), we took a short drive to a place that until recently, I never knew existed. Imagine that. It was the Long Island Game Farm. A new friend of mine saw a deal on Groupon so we both bought one. Sadly we had to do our visits on separate days.

But I thought this little secret farm was really cute...and will help advertise for them here.  If there's ever another groupon, I will go back.  It is very interactive and they didn't have staff hovering over you when you were with the animals. You feel really free to just enjoy and explore the animals as you wish. Most animals you could buy food for and feed (we didn't this time around).  But we DID however, against Mark's wishes, feed the monkeys some of our bananas from home.   I thought it was fine as monkey& bananas are like Hollywood&Divorses - they just go hand in hand.  But my model citizen husband Mark thought it was "against the rules".   But all of his reservations went out the window once we saw some other kids popp'n out the goldfish crackers and filling the cup for the monkeys.  Haha! Maybe a little supervision or signage might not hurt...who knows what these animals are being fed all day long.  Allllthough, nothing seems as bad as what we saw at Marine Land (Toronto) where they were selling cups full of corn pops to throw at the bears. Those poor likely diabetic bears!! (I bet you're all thinking 'what are bears doing at Marine Land'....and sorry I don't know).

Anyways, I loved seeing Janey with the animals. She is way less timid than Henry, although Henry did really well too. I think she has a strong affinity for them...which is great but unfortunate as Mark and I sort of don't like animals (did I say that?)   I mean we do from afar...but not in our home.

But farms are fun. Especially this one.

Llama Llama Farm Drama.

Henry's helping him get his groove back.

This is right after a goat sneezed all over Jane.  The kids thought it was hilarious.  Which it was, but also very sick.

If I had a yard, I would take him home.

BFF's??

Will Ferrell as Robert Goulet anyone?  " Quick.  Staring contest.  Me and you NOW!  ....You win, you always do!"

My pretties!

Ahhhhh...we're mooooving!!

Before we got dizzy and threw up.  JK guys, jk.

Cute dizzy spinning Jane.

Next time we'll feed the giraffe.

This picture is going to Henry's teacher.  She calls her class her Giraffes.  (Her name starts with a "G')

LOVED THE MONKEYS TO DEATH!  So smart and so funny.  They pull their own food in the cup towards them with the pulley. And chuck the stuff they don't want on the ground.

Henry was forever focused on seeing the cows.  "When are we going to see the cows?  Where are the cows?"  Poor kid needs to spend more time back home in Alberta.

  2. I LOVE your hat! You look adorable. If it makes you feel better, I don't like farm animals at all. I think they are stinky. We will never live on a farm. Good thing, my parents do, sort of. Cute kids!
